SHOP LOCAL...EAT LOCAL...SPEND LOCAL...ENJOY LOCAL!!!

Shopping Local

"You can't buy HAPPINESS but you can buy LOCAL and that's kind of the same!"

Explore Your City/Town

Any person with a traveling profession or spouse with a traveling profession knows how important it is to get yourself out there when you relocate.  It isn't always easy and it isn't always fun, but for your sanity you need to at least try.  When I first moved from the MIDWEST to the EAST COAST it was intimidating but also a great adventure.  I decided to view our move as an opportunity to learn and expand my horizons.  New Jersey is a state that never really interested me, but once I moved here it gave me a new perspective.  It isn't just a state that is over populated, cramped living, and people fist pumping at the Jersey Shore (yes I thought that, don't judge).  It's the GARDEN STATE covered in luscious forest, small quaint towns that actually remind me of small towns in Iowa, and communities with small local business that keep out the large franchise stores.  Sometimes I feel like I have traveled back in time living out here.  That being said I want to share one of my FAVORITE local stores in Chester NJ.  Y'all even Tanner likes looking in this store, so that should tell you sometime.  I've bought glassware, candle holders, jewelry, chips, a belt buckle for Tanner, and an amazing mirror at this store.  RANDOM ACTS OF FRESCO BOUTIQUE is truly one of a kind.
***TIP: Oh, and it is attached to one of the best Mexican restaurants (Fresco Mexican) in NJ as well, so eating and shopping is always welcomed in my world.

Again, I'm a big advocate in supporting the "little guy."  The next time you go shopping for a specific item, see if a local store in your community has it first before buying from a major franchise.  Have a great day...God Bless!
