There is a story behind this sandwich. I walked into Chatham's deli (pronounced Chat-ham not Chath-am, I messed that up when we moved here 5 years ago) and wanted a sub for lunch.! I saw sloppy joe on the menu and thought to myself "wow I haven't had one of those in a LONG time." Long story short I ordered it and it came out with meat, cheese, slaw, and Russian dressing. At first I figured they messed my order up, which happens almost everywhere I go just ask my husband. I then read the menu again, and realized this is New Jersey's version of a sloppy joe. My mind was blown and I knew I had to recreate it at home. I hope y'all love it like Tanner and I do!
